Chapter Meeting Information

September 2008 Meeting is being planned

The regularly scheduled meetings of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter are held monthly, from September through May, on the second Tuesday of the month.

These meetings are held at various locations throughout the membership territory. They are conducted by the Chapter President and the staff does its best to plan a "technical" speaker who can bring information to the attending membership. There are times when the meeting is simply a "round table discussion" of problems and solutions in the workplace, conducted totally by the attending members. These meetings can bring about some of the most interesting and useful day to day experiences. EASA members have always been known for their willingness to help a fellow EASA'n, and our Chapter is no exception.

These meetings, if held at a Hotel meeting room, begin with a social hour at 6:30PM, dinner is normally served around 7:00PM with a short business meeting following. The speaker is introduced and the meeting continues for approximately 1 hour. Members are encouraged to bring associates who can benefit from the topic being discussed.

There are also months where the planned event is an "open house" at a member's facility, or a tour of some industrial facility that is interesting and educational to the membership.

Due to our joint "Fall Technical Conference" being conducted in October, the membership is normally encouraged to attend that function, and the regularly scheduled meeting is cancelled.

A totally "Social" event is conducted in December and billed as our "Chapter Christmas Party". This event is just that...... social. Everyone simply enjoys the fellowship and merriment of the season at a very special dinner with special friends.

Finally, during the winter months, the chapter officers reserve the right to cancel the January and/or February meetings due to the possibility of inclement weather.
